Principal's Message

Welcome to Mary Goff Elementary School!

My name is Jessica Landry, and I am proud to lead Mary Goff Elementary alongside my amazing team of educators!   I have been an educator in Rapides Parish for 19 years, the last 6 of which has been spent serving Mary Goff students and families.  I spent 4 years as the Assistant Principal and the past year and a half as Principal of Mary Goff.  There is absolutely no place I would rather be and no community of which I would rather be a part!

I graduated with my bachelors degree from UL at Lafayette, and I later went on to receive my masters degree in Educational Leadership from ULL.  Through my educational career and teaching career, I discovered that my greatest passion is teaching students how to read and develop a love for reading.    

I firmly believe that, as educators, it is our responsibility to equip our students with the necessary interpersonal skills and academic knowledge to become productive members of society.  Our staff is held to high standards and consistently works to master their craft of educating children.  We accept all children as they are and work together to grow them socially, emotionally, and academically.  Fostering a kind and helpful heart in our students is at the core of our mission.  Mary Goff Elementary accomplishes this by building relationships with our students and their families.  Being an educator is more than a profession; it is a high calling.  Each member of our MGE staff is here because they love children and are driven to give them the best education possible.  We believe every student is a Champion, and we Champion for each other!
